Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation is a simple procedure for replacement of diseased Aortic Valve of the heart. The valve is implanted through the catheter via the thigh arteries. It eliminates the risks of anaesthesia, blood transfusions and post operative recovery and wound healing.
Recently we performed TAVI on a elderly lady who had already undergone CABG , which made her high risk for redo surgery .
